a New Line of Security-driven Products at EastPack

Better Packages, Inc. to Recast Itself as a Security Packaging Company

New York, NY June 15, 2004 Better Packages, Inc., the worlds leading manufacturer of water-activated tape dispensers, will introduce an array of security-focused products here at EastPack, the East Coasts largest packaging event June 15-17. Show attendees are invited to stop by BPs booth 5026 and see the companys line-up of new and existing products.

Philip White, president and CEO, said that the EastPack show is particularly timely for Better Packages this year as the company is in the midst of a move to recast itself as a security-packaging company. The products we are introducing at the show, White said, all contribute to the security and safety of shippers, carriers and consumers alike.

In addition, White said, under the federal law, and with increased attention from the courts with regard to homeland security, we believe that shippers are more responsible for the integrity of packaging than ever before. The products that Better Packages are introducing will not only improve security and safety, but reduce shipper liabilities as well.

These products include the:

BP E-Z Pull Tab Tape, a patented tape product with a tear-off strip and tab that makes opening a carton easy, safe and, most important in todays security conscious environment, tamper-evident. Besides making a package easy to open and tamper-evident, the strip protects customers contents from being damaged since it eliminates the need for box-cutters. The tear strip is available for use with both water-activated and plastic tapes.
