Swiss Army Brands'one-millionth BP 333 from Better Packages
Shelton, Conn., June 1, 2004 -- Better Packages, the worlds largest manufacturer of water-activated tape dispensers, on June 7, 2004, will celebrate the production of its millionth Better Pack 333 -- the worlds best selling machine of its kind. To coincide with this event, Better Packages will introduce an enhanced version of its BP333, called the BP 333 Plus and will launch a number of security-driven products in a move to recast itself as a packaging security company.

To commemorate the historic occasion, Better Packages will donate a tape dispensing machine made in the early1930s one of the oldest known existing machines of its kind -- to the Smithsonian Institution along with its more modern successor, the millionth BP 333, and give a BP333 Plus to Swiss Army Brands. Swiss Army is a Better Packages customer and fellow Shelton, Conn., -based company. In recognition of the milestone, Shelton Mayor Mark Lauretti is proclaiming June 7, 2004, Better Packages Day.

UConn Husky Winner Maria Conlon
In recognition of Better Packages achievement , Maria Conlon, of UConns womens basketball fame, will speak on How to be a Part of a Winning Team at the companys Million Machine Celebration. Along with Conlon, state and local officials will be on hand at the June 7th celebration at Better Packages Shelton facilities.
